How to Use Photos to Customize your Facebook Fan Page
It doesn’t have to take you weeks or thousands of dollars to customize your fan page.
If you’re a bit of a DIY’er, there are a few easy ways you can make your page stand out from the crowd, simply using images.
Why Should I Customize My Fan Page?
Here is the main reason I would highly recommend jazzing up your page with images:
Whether you realize it or not, your fan page actually contains some pretty valuable marketing space.
A good portion of your page can actually be used for photos, so why not take advantage of that for branding?
Spicing up your page with images not only conveys that you actually care about your page, but making it visually interesting may mean visitors stay on your page longer and interact more.
3 Ways to Use Images on Your Fan Page
- 1. Create a custom welcome page. We’ve talked about custom landing pagesquite a bit on the blog already, so I won’t go into detail here. With so many free and easy to use landing page creators out there (Wix, Pagemodo, Wildfire, to name a few), you don’t have to be a web designer or programmer to build a page.Here are a few image-based landing pages we like. - 2.Think of the photostrip as valuable branding real estate. You know that little row of photos at the top of your page? This is the one the first things fans see on your page. Make the most of them by having them by using them to convey your message, advertise your products, or just create something visually interesting. - 3. In the same way as #2, use your profile picture to it’s full potential. Instead of using a small photo, why not use this valuable branding space to it’s full potential?While the width of your image has to be 200px, stretching it out to a length of around 600px gives you lots of room to get your message across.Go clean and simple:
